We are now taking reservations for the August shipment of RAD RIPPER, a MADE IN JAPAN QUALITY board created by MAYHEM, a top-level surfboard shaper and surfboard designer who has been a multiple-time CT Tour World Champion and has influenced surfboard design around the world. The board was created by blending 80's design with cutting-edge surfboard design gained from over 25 years of experience and knowledge!
At first glance it looks like a standard shortboard, but it has well-balanced volume in various parts of the surfboard, making it a user-friendly free surf model that offers quick performance regardless of the rider or wave conditions.
The distinctive "beak nose" adds volume to the tip of the nose that is not found on standard shortboards, resulting in fast and easy paddling and takeoff performance just like a surfboard with a rounded nose.
The RAD RIPPER's deck surface uses a semi-flat deck, which stabilizes and fits your body on the surfboard, ensuring that the paddle is transmitted firmly and without any loss.
The "Stape Retro Rail" is tapered down sharply towards the rail, making it incredibly thin compared to its actual thickness. This makes it sensitive to the rider's intentions and makes it very easy to insert the rail into the water.
