Two Percent began in 2023 when Kolohe and his friend, filmmaker Jacob Vanderwerk, began filming local San Clemente groms.

As Two Percent's followers and influence grew, its content also gained momentum and it began selling apparel in addition to its surf movies.
Inspired by Two Percent, Griffin Colapinto's younger brother, Crosby, Cole Haushmand and Cade Matson all joined the CT in 2024.
This is a major achievement for the Two Percent project, which was initiated by a desire to give back to the support of his home community.
When it comes to San Clemente, the Lower Trestles is its most famous point, and it is a sacred place that has produced many of surfers who defined the era, including Christian Fletcher, Matt Archibald, Chris Ward, and Kolohe's father, Dino.
It is also the home of LOST, where many CT riders ride, and Matt Biolos, aka Mayhem.
"SMOOCH," released in 2023, has a full movie of about 40 minutes available for free on YouTube.
Many surfers will be appearing, from the amazing waves that Two Percen members have traveled around the world to unknown groms.
There is also a part by Raiki Nishida, a Japanese resident of San Clemente.
