About "DURA-FLEX4" SURFBOARD COMPOSITES
DURA-FLEX is a new eco-friendly technology from PLACEBO. The core of the new composite surfboard, which supports the PLACEBO brand's long-term strength and discoloration-resistant finish, is an EPS foam called AERO BLANK. After custom shaping the AERO-BLANK EPS foam, three layers of 4+4+6oz are applied to the deck surface, and two layers of 4+6oz cloth are hand-glazed with epoxy resin to the bottom surface. On both sides of the board, half-inch carbon stringers are built in a straight line from nose to tail to reduce twisting and provide a solid ride that will satisfy even veteran surfers who have a long history of riding poly boards with a wooden center stringer.
The UV-cut white paint on both the deck and bottom is a long-lasting eco-finish that prevents sunburn for a long time. The elegant black and white body is equipped with the supple and easy-to-ride flex performance that is unique to PLACEBO.
